Hello everyone! My name is Zach Villeneuve and I had the privilege of joining Delta Sigma Pi the first semester of my freshman year. This was the best thing to happen to me as ever since I have been able to experience endless possibilities throughout my college journey. I am majoring in accounting and will be a member of the 3+1 Masters of Accountancy program. I will be joining Deloitte this upcoming summer as an Audit Intern in their Chicago office and I am so excited to use the knowledge I have learned from DSP throughout the summer. 

When I got to college, I knew accounting was the major for me, but I had no idea what a career looked like in the field or what I would want to do with it. When I got into DSP, that all changed. Going through the mentorship program helped me a ton, as I finally learned about the different fields of accounting and all the career paths I could choose from. My mentor, Megan McGee(Class of ‘25), taught me how a career in audit will help me kickstart my career, and how I can jump into that field. Her and all of the other accounting brothers in DSP helped me through Big 4 recruitment, and I credit a lot of my success to them. 

Now that I am an upperclassman, I have the opportunity to give back to the younger brothers and guide them through their career aspirations. Remembering how the juniors and seniors helped me through Big 4 accounting recruitment, I have put time aside to help the younger brothers with networking, applications, and interview skills to get them the opportunities they wish for. It’s so rewarding to see the knowledge I learned being passed down to the younger generation, and it really shows the brotherhood and supportiveness of Delta Sigma Pi. 

Being a brother in DSP has taught me so much and given me many opportunities. DSP is the place where you can make your passions flourish, and your dreams a reality. It’s so special to see this group of ambitious students grow each year, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds. From making life long friendships to getting my dream internship, Delta Sigma Pi has helped me with every part of my college journey, and I am forever grateful to call this chapter home!
