Our Professional Pillar
Delta Sigma Pi works hard to make sure that our brothers are prepared to go after their dream companies and careers. DSP provides a comprehensive program for all grade levels to build necessary skills and foster a drive to achieve great success. Our programming capitalizes on individual and group development to create prepared business professionals and a community of reliable, intelligent brothers.
Our peer mentorship, however, is what truly sets our fraternity apart from most. Our formal mentorship is what introduces our brothers to the business world by navigating them through different career path options, exploring their interests, building their resumes and LinkedIn profiles, beginning to network in desired industries amongst DSP and Miami University alumni, and guiding them through the internship recruitment process. Our informal mentorship, driven by our brotherhood, is what sets our brothers up for success and is something you will not find anywhere else. The people you meet in DSP go above and beyond to support fellow brothers professionally, regardless of mentorship status, by introducing them to people in their personal network, sharing their experiences, forwarding opportunities they know their brothers would excel in, and refining their hard and soft skills.
Finding Your Next Chapter
Every semester our brothers land their dream internships and jobs, but it doesn't just happen by luck. From the moment you join DSP, we work with you to uncover your true passions. We know how to listen and ask the right questions that set you up to discover what you're all about and navigate career paths that allow you to find your next chapter. We have the resources and connections to get you where you want to go, whether it's working for one of the Big-Four in Chicago or starting a business like Mad Rabbit that lands you on Shark Tank.

DSP Fall Trips
Something quite beloved to our brothers and unique to Delta Sigma Pi is our Fall Trip. On these trips, Delta Sigs travel to incredible cities around the U.S. for firsthand networking opportunities as well as social outings. This fall semester, brothers had the chance to visit Chicago to meet associates from companies such as West Monroe and KPMG. These experiences offer brothers a valuable chance to experience live what it is truly like to work for some of these companies and about the different roles they could potentially have within a professional environment.
Company Visits and Networking Opportunities
Cincinnati Reds Visit:
Recently, our brothers were able to take a trip down south to Cincinnati to visit the Cincinnati Reds Baseball team. Brothers met with the Senior Vice President of Business Operations and other Executives to experience what a career path may look like within the sports, or media broadcast, industries. Opportunities like these present our brothers with incredible opportunities for networking in an array of industries and give them a chance to start a career before they even leave Miami.
Fringe Industries Visit:
For the second annual time, our brothers were able to travel to Hamilton, OH to visit Fringe Coffee. A subsidiary of Fringe Industries, this coffee shop serves as a re-entry opportunity for formerly incarcerated individuals to transition back into society. Our brothers were able to hear from the owner and co-founder, Patrick, about his story and how small businesses have a large impact on local communities!
