BROTHER SPOTLIGHT BLOG:

Jess Mumper

Hi everyone! I’m Jess Mumper, and I joined Deltasig in Fall of 2022. Joining DSP the first semester of my freshman year set me up for success in every possible way. Starting out at Miami, I had absolutely no idea what I wanted to do. I came in with a major in Marketing, but I really didn’t know what career that could lead me to. With the help of my amazing mentor, Radhika Agrawal, I added an Entrepreneurship co-major and started exploring professional opportunities for freshmen.

This exploration led me to the A&F Co. Freshmen Forum, where I found my passion for the retail industry. With the help of my brothers, I was able to intern at Abercrombie before my senior year and secure a job offer for after graduation. DSP not only helped me get my dream job, it helped me figure out what my dream job was. Everyone in Deltasig helps you find your passions, envision where you want to be, develop your goals, and then find the path to get you there.

I’m so grateful for the foundation that Deltasig gave me, but the best part of my DSP experience has been the opportunity to give back. I’ve held two positions on our executive board: Chancellor and Vice President of Social Activities. Both have allowed me to grow our brotherhood, give back to the younger members, and help the culture of DSP thrive. I’ve also had the opportunity to be a mentor to one of our new members, Brady Krautkramer, alongside my co-mentor and close friend Charlie Reeder. By far the most rewarding part of my four years in this chapter has been sharing my love for DSP and showing our newest members what it means to be a Deltasig!

To me, this chapter is so much more than professional help and friendship. It’s a community and a culture where our brothers do everything they can to help one another succeed. It’s an environment where there truly are endless opportunities and possibilities. I’m grateful everyday that I get to call DSP my home!
