BROTHER SPOTLIGHT BLOG:
Elle Wentworth
Hi! My name is Elle Wentworth, and I joined DSP in the Fall of my sophomore year (’23). I came into college not knowing what a business fraternity was, but I was instantly drawn to whatever was happening within the letters of D, S, and P that everyone spoke so highly of. It wasn’t until sophomore year that I decided to take the leap and rush Delta Sig, and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made. (Fittingly, I’m writing this while visiting my best friend, a DeltaSig alum, in Nashville, TN!)
When I joined, I was guided by my mentors Katie Short and Brennan Hickey, who truly shaped my experience. One of the most transformative moments came when Katie asked about my passions beyond my resume. At the time, I didn’t consider content creation or TikTok something “professional” enough to mention — but when I told her about my work creating lifestyle content and collaborating with brands, she completely shifted that narrative.
Katie, along with so many other brothers in DSP, helped me stop “laughing off” or feeling embarrassed about my role as a content creator. They encouraged me to see it as something to be proud of and a unique passion that brought value to our chapter. Since then, my platform has grown tremendously. I’ve collaborated with brands like Aquaphor, PRADA, Quince, and Poppi, attended influencer events on Nantucket, and even gone on some incredible adventures, like a helicopter ride over Northern Michigan.
Within DSP, I’ve been part of the Marketing and Recruitment Committees and served as a mentor for two semesters. Outside of the organization, I’ve spent two years as a blog writer for UP Magazine, been a member of Women in Marketing and Ski & Board Club, and served as a UA for BUS 106. I also spent a semester abroad in Luxembourg, where I worked as the program’s social media intern.
One of my proudest leadership experiences was serving as Head of Marketing for Fitness on High, where I helped build and strengthen the brand from the ground up by developing its visual identity and social media presence to drive community engagement. The confidence and encouragement I gained through DSP pushed me to take on that challenge and truly see myself as a creative leader.
Beyond professional growth, DSP has given me an incredible network of people who genuinely want to see each other succeed. Our brotherhood has shown me the power of collaboration, encouragement, and community. I’m so grateful to be part of a chapter that celebrates ambition while staying grounded in friendship and support.
